John left us much too soon, but his smile and endless sense of fun was passed on to his son with Faith, John Scalzo. John made Bullen and Bradford much more fun! I know he's doing the same for Heaven!
I had the privilege of handing out my brother, Peter's PRO/ Pursuit of Excellence Scholarship at Bradford years ago and noticed a laughing young man with John's smile and I knew it had to be John's son. I had to let him know what a great guy his dad was and how he was always smiling and making others smile!
It was obvious that John's legacy, his sense of fun and his smile (along with Faith's!) and their sense of humor was passed on for future generations to enjoy!
John left behind many friends and family who lost him way too soon.

John Finley was the first new friend I made when I entered Bullen Junior High. I had friends from my neighborhood, but John was in one of my early classes and we hit it off. Must have been our shared interest in sports. That friendship got better as we were at Bradford.

Great athlete. Could have succeeded in any sport or anything he chose to do. His personality was something that immediately made people like him, and that smile, it was infectious. He was a special person. Wish he was still around today, but he and Faith are together again.

John Finley....good athlete, good student, great friend, better person!
