"Spread Your Kindness"

"Live as though every positive thing you do will start a chain reaction, the culmination of which is so beneficial you cannot even imagine. Live as though even the smallest kindness, passed along from one person to another, can change the world for the better.

Live as though every good thing you do is multiplied many times over before surely and eventually returning to you. For that is indeed the way life can work.

You have a far greater influence than it may seem over people and events, even those far removed from you. Because the way you act toward others gets passed along in ever-increasing numbers.

Think about how you do it yourself. If someone has been kind and considerate to you, you're far more likely to act with kindness toward others, and many of them will do the same.

If,in one hour you were to spread kindness to just three people, and each of them did the same, and the process continued to repeat itself, the results would be astounding. It would take less than 24 hours for that kindness to be spread to every person in the world.

Spread your kindness and consideration freely and respectfully to others. And the positive benefits will go farther than you can possibly imagine." ~ Ralph Marston

Hi Kris,

I just want to thank you again for putting the reunion together. I had a fabulous time!  It was great getting to know everyone and learn more about my mom. I'm going to pass the stories along to my brothers.

One thing I learned from my mom is that everything you do matters, so do everything for a purpose.
Take care,
Briana

Thanks Chris, Sterling, Mindy and everyone else for a job well done on the 35th Reunion. Also to Howie, Mike, & all the other photographers. Can't wait to see the posts. Only one suggestion for the next reunion. Bigger font size on the name tags! LOL
Pam Marchesini Montemurro

From Facebook...

Hey Kris! It was so good to see you this past weekend! :) Thank you for all of your hard work for our reunion! It was the best one ever! :) ( I heard this from a lot of other people too!) I was a little worried about Saturday night because Friday night was so much fun, but Saturday was also a blast! It was so great to see everyone. Thanks again and please stay in touch!

Kathleen Schneider

From e-mails...

Hey Kris, thanks so much for organizing a great reunion. I know you've seen this gang more than I have over the last 35 years, but for me I was thrilled to see everybody and catch up.

Thanks again!

Mike (Rossiello)

Hi Kris!!
Just wanted to take a moment to thank you so much for all your hard work in the past year for planning this.  You did a great job and we had a wonderful time!!
Irene

Hi Kris,

I thought thereunion was the best one I'd ever been too, and that was the consensus of everyone there that I spoke too.  You did a fantastic job.

One thought - if we ever have one again it was suggested that we print out the name tags with bigger lettering for the names, like a half an inch high.  No one's eyes are as good as they used to be anymore.

Again, thank you for making this a truly wonderful event!

Larry (Zamba)

Kris,
I just wanted to tell you "THANKS" for such a great time Saturday night.  It was so wonderful to see you and everyone there.  Everyone there had a great time and would not have happened if it wasn't for you.  From my heart, thanks for making the 35th Reunion so great, and most of all, for getting many long-time friends back together in one place.
Ruben (Guzman)

Kris:
What a great turn out and what a great time.

It was really nice to see everyone that cared to participate.

Wish we would have had a few more folks show up but as you said all along it would be their loss for not coming.

I thought the Hubbard’s did an outstanding job!

Take care and keep in touch!

Jim (Kramer)

All the pix's I took are on the way, I mailed today. Once again what a great reunion you setup. The Hubbards were great too. They were like their own show in itself.

Bill (grabowski)

(Thanks for all the picture taking, Bill! You're the Best! A picture is still worth a thousand words or more!!)

Chris Thanks for pulling it off. It was great to see everybody. I do hope you will head up the next one.  Thanks again.

Doug (Cox)

Hey Kris-

Hope you are well rested from all your hard work this past weekend! It really was so much fun for me this time (how often do you get your ex-husband and current husband buying you drinks!) and I know it was because I didn't put any work into it! There were no worries for me and so I just thoroughly enjoyed myself! So the next time, someone else can step up and take care of it so you can relax too! Thank you so much for all the time and energy you put into it. Know that your effort contributed to a wonderful time for so many people. KUDOS TO YOU!!!!!!!!

"IN MY LIFE"

There are places I remember,

All my life, though some have changed,

Some forever, not for better,

Some have gone and some remain,

All these places had their moments,

With lovers and friends I still can recall.

Some are dead and some are living...

In my life, I've loved them all.

..."In My Life" written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney

How does one tell the difference between male
and female birds? Some think it had to be
determined surgically. Until now..

Above are two birds. Study them closely.
See if you can spot which of the two is
the female. It can be done, even by someone
with limited bird wat
ching skills.

"Rekindled friendships often burn more brightly"

Ah, being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.

Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.

"Truly great friends are hard to find,
difficult to leave, and impossible to forget."

~ G. Randolf

One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young.

"Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed"   Alexander Pope

Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way;
BUT NEVER forget the blessings that come each day.

"Always do what you are afraid to do." Ralph Waldo Emerson

"It's funny how friends can come in and out of your life so quickly, yet leave footprints and memories in your heart forever."

Live Fully, Breathe Deeply and Love Completely!

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Don't bother, tell them you look this way because you've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

...Life......I'll be happy when......

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire. The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges.

It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way, so, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with..and remember that time waits for no one!

So, stop waiting...
Until your car or home is paid off...
Until you get a new car or home.....
Until your kids leave the house....
Until you go back to school...
Until you finish school...
Until you lose 10 lbs....
Until you gain 10 lbs...
Until you get married...
Until you get a divorce....
Until you have kids...
Until you retire....
Until summer...
Until spring...
Until winter...
Until fall....
Until you die...

There is no better time than right now to be happy!

"Just Do It!"

BE THANKFUL...

Be thankful that you don't already have
everything you desire if you did,
what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something...
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times...
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations...
They give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge...
Which will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes...
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary...
Because it means you've given your all.

It's easy to be thankful for the 'good' things...
Yet,a life of rich fulfillment comes to those
Who are thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive...
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
And they can become your blessings.

NO RAIN, NO RAINBOWS!

Joy in the Journey...

If you have ever been discouraged because of failure, please read on. For often, achieving what you set out to do is not the important thing. Let me explain.

Two brothers decided to dig a deep hole behind their house. As they were working, a couple of older boys stopped by to watch.

'What are you doing?' asked one of the visitors.

'We plan to dig a hole all the way through the earth!' one of the brothers volunteered excitedly.

The older boys began to laugh, telling the younger ones that digging a hole all the way through the earth was impossible. After a long silence, one of the diggers picked up a jar full of spiders, worms and a wide assortment of insects. He removed the lid and showed the wonderful contents to the scoffing visitors. Then he said quietly and confidently, 'Even if we don't dig all the way through the earth, look what we found along the way!'

Their goal was far too ambitious, but it did cause them to dig. And that is what a goal is for - to cause us to move in the direction we have chosen; in other words, to set us to digging!

But not every goal will be fully achieved. Not every job will end successfully. Not every relationship will endure. Not every hope will come to pass. Not every love will last. Not every endeavor will be completed. Not every dream will be realized. But when you fall short of your aim, perhaps you can say, 'Yes,but look at what I found along the way! Look at the wonderful things which have come into my life because I tried to do something!'

It is in the digging that life is lived. And I believe it is joy in the journey, in the end, that truly matters. anonymous

A Senior Citizen

I am a senior citizen...

- I'm the life of the party...even when it lasts 'till 8pm.

- I'm very good at opening childproof caps with a hammer.

- I'm usually interested in going home before I get to where I'm going.

- I'm good on a trip for at least an hour without my aspirin, antacid and ...

- I'm the first one to find the bathroom wherever I go.

- I'm awake many hours before my body allows me to get up.

- I'm smiling all the time because I can't hear a word you're saying.

- I'm very good at telling stories...over and over and over and over.

- I'm aware that other people's grandchildren are not as bright as mine.

- I'm so cared for: long-term care, eye care, private care, dental care.

- I'm not grouchy, I just don't like traffic, waiting, children, politicians...

- I'm positive I did housework correctly before the Internet.

- I'm sure everything I can't find is in a secure place.

- I'm wrinkled, saggy and lumpy, and that's just my left leg.

- I'm having trouble remembering simple words like... uh...duh....

- I'm realizing that aging is not for sissies.

- I'm walking more (to the bathroom) and enjoying it less.

- I'm sure they are making adults much younger these days.

- I'm in the *initial* state of my golden years: SS, CD's, IRA's, AARP.

- I'm wondering,if you're only as old as you feel, how could I be alive at 150?

- I'm anti-everything now: anti-fat, anti-smoke, anti-noise, anti-inflammatory.

- I'm a walking storeroom of facts...I've just lost the key to the storeroom.

- I'm a Senior Citizen and I think I am having the time of my life...

Aren't I?

Maybe it's true that life begins at fifty.

But everything else starts to wear out ... fall out, or spread out!

Here are three signs of old age.

The first is your loss of memory. I forget the other two.

You're getting old when you don't care where your spouse goes, just as long as you don't have to go along.

Middle age is when work is a lot less fun and fun is a lot more work.

Statistics show that at the age of seventy, there are five women to every man. Isn't that a bad time for a guy to get those odds?

You know you're getting on in years when the girls at the office start confiding in you.

Middle age is when it takes longer to rest than to get tired.

By the time a man is wise enough to watch his step, he's too old to go anywhere.

Middle age is when you have stopped growing at both ends, and have begun to grow in the middle.

A man has reached middle age when he is cautioned to slow down by his doctor instead of by the police.

You know you're into middle age when you realize that caution is the only thing you care to exercise.

...and then there's this...

More insights on life learned by the time you have reached middle age...

If you're too open-minded, your brains will fall out.

Age is a very high price to pay for maturity.

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.

My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.

Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is serious.

It is easier to get forgiveness than permission.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite government program.

A conscience is what hurts when all of your other parts feel so good.

Eat well, stay fit, die anyway.

Men are from earth. Women are from earth. Deal with it.

No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes.

A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand.

There is always one more imbecile than you counted on.

Thou shalt not weigh more than thy refrigerator.

Someone who thinks logically provides a nice contrast to the real world.

The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.

and then there's this...

If it weren't for STRESS I'd have no energy at all.
Whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed.
I know God won't give me more than I can handle. I just wish He didn't trust me so much.
Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.
If you look like your passport picture, you probably need the trip.
Bills travel through the mail at twice the speed of cheques.
Some days are a total waste of makeup.
Men are from earth. Women are from earth. Deal with it.
Middle age is when broadness of the mind and narrowness of the waist change places.
Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.
Junk is something you've kept for years and throw away three weeks before you need it.
Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
By the time you can make ends meet, they move the ends.
Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

This is merely for the sake of "humor"...

"Now that they are retired, my mother and father are discussing all aspects of their future ... "What will you do if I die before you do?" Dad asked Mom.

After some thought, she said that she'd probably look for a house sharing situation with three other single or widowed women who might be a little younger than herself, since she is so active for her age.

Then Mom asked Dad, "What will you do if I die first?"

He replied, "Probably the same thing."

13 Life Rules...
Sometimes we just need to remember WHAT the Rules of Life really are....
1. Never give yourself a haircut after three margaritas.
2. You need only two tools. WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape .
3. The five most essential words for a healthy, vital relationship "I apologize" and "You are right."
4. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
5. When you make a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm.
6. Some really good advice that your mother gave you was, "Go! You might meet somebody!"
7. If he/she says that you are too good for him/her believe them.
8. Learn to pick your battles; ask yourself, 'Will this matter one year from now? How about one month? One week? One day?'
9. Never pass up an opportunity to pee.
10. If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have another chance!
11. Living well really is the best revenge. Being miserable because of a bad or former relationship just might mean that the other person was right about you.
12. Work is good, but it's not that important.
13. And finally... Be really nice to your friends. You never know when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan.
